Behavioral Health
Learn about this 12-week program designed to help clients regain stability, strengthen coping skills and improve daily functioning in a compassionate group setting.

When life feels overwhelming, traditional once-a-week therapy isn’t always enough. Travco’s Mental Health Group Program offers a structured, supportive path for adults who need more consistent care—without the intensity of inpatient services.

Clients participate in three weekly group sessions (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-3:00pm), focusing on emotion regulation, coping strategies, communication skills and understanding the patterns that impact mental health. Each week also includes a nursing check-in for additional health support. Throughout the 12-week Mental Health Group Program, Travco clients learn:

  • Grounding and mindfulness skills
  • Managing triggers and intense emotions
  • Healthy coping strategies
  • Cognitive skills (thought patterns, reframing)
  • Communication and relationship tools
  • Stress management and daily functioning skills
  • Relapse prevention and long-term wellness strategies

This program is ideal for clients who meet one or more of the following:

  • Experience moderate symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood instability
  • Have difficulty functioning with weekly outpatient therapy alone
  • Need support with emotional regulation and coping strategies
  • Recently stepped down from inpatient, residential, or PHP
  • Are motivated to participate and able to engage in group sessions
  • Can safely attend and participate in a 2-hour group environment

Additionally, clients who have recently completed a higher level of care (such as inpatient or PHP) and who no longer require 24/7 stabilization may be appropriate for this program if they can safely participate in a group setting.

Clients are not appropriate for this program if any of the following apply:

  • Active suicidal ideation with intent or plan
  • Active homicidal ideation with plan or intent
  • Current psychosis or mania that impairs safe participation
  • Severe substance use requiring detoxification or residential treatment
  • Cognitive impairment preventing meaningful engagement in group
  • Unpredictable or aggressive behaviors that compromise group safety

The Mental Health Group Program is facilitated by Kyle Benning, LPCC-S, a clinician specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma-informed care and emotion regulation. Kyle is currently pursuing doctoral training (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology and has a professional interest in the connections between psychological wellbeing, cognitive functioning and daily life functioning. He is passionate about structured, skills-based treatment approaches that help clients build stability and confidence in their everyday lives. Kyle’s goal in developing this program was to create a structured and supportive space where clients can build practical skills that strengthen their day-to-day functioning.
