The diseaseof addiction doesn’t discriminate. It can affect people of all ages and stages of life, including pregnancy. That’s why we’re especially excited to be filling a major need in the community by providing detox (for women pregnant 32 weeks or less) and inpatient treatment (for women pregnant 36 weeks or less).
Pregnant women struggling with addiction might be hesitant to seek treatment for a variety of reasons. We work hard to break down barriers—such as shame and lack of support—to accessing care while providing a safe place for our pregnant clients to focus on recovery. Our nonjudgmental, compassionate trained professionals work diligently to ensure that our pregnant clients have access to quality treatment and resources both during pregnancy and after giving birth.
During detox, our pregnant clients receive 24-hour medical supervision and care by licensed clinicians. We also work with medical professionals trained in OBGYN care to ensure our pregnant clients receive the most thorough treatment possible.
While engaged in inpatient treatment, our pregnant clients continue to receive medical monitoring while participating in regular recovery routines such as groups, meal times, recreation, 12-step meetings, etc.
We also help our pregnant clients through our case management services, including
- coordination of prenatal care and delivery.
- advocacy/communication with the courts, probation officers, etc.
- assistance in obtaining a safe living environment.
- referrals and resources for ongoing support after delivery.
- guidance in building a strong sober support network.
- arranging services like therapy or NeuroStar® TMS at Travco for issues like depression or anxiety.
From detox to inpatient treatment and beyond, our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that our pregnant clients are given all the resources and encouragement necessary to achieve sustained recovery. By offering specialized care tailored to the needs of pregnant women, we aim to support them through their recovery process while prioritizing the health and well-being of both the mother and baby.
