Family therapy is an opportunity for you—and the people you live with and love—to come together and support each other in having a healthy relationship. Learn more!

Here, we continue our conversation with Katerina Mayer—Travco Behavioral Health family counselor—building upon “Part 1: What to Expect With Travco Family Therapy.”

Within family therapy, Katerina explains, “Our job is to help identify what the issue is, what the dysfunction, what the pattern is to figure out the tools necessary that the family is lacking in some way.” Travco works with the family to obtain and practice using these tools while in therapy, but more importantly, after therapy ends.

The family dynamic is always evolving, impacted by any change—big or small. Whether it’s adjusting to the birth of a new child, learning how to navigate a medical diagnosis or taking on the care of an aging parent, new challenges in a family’s relationship can arise at any time. That’s where family therapy comes in!

In this video, Katerina continues to describe how the family therapy process works and what to expect in family therapy.
